This stunning new super nimble chef's petty has a full-flat grind, a laser sharp edge and the looks to match. Weighing in at just 121g this light blade make for an excellent kitchen companion to get through lots of prep without the fatigue of a heavy blade!
The thinness of the blade, made in 26c3 steel (which was orginally developed for razor blades) gives exceptional slicing capabilities and an edge that is quite literally shaving sharp. I have the bare forearm to prove it...
The handle is a stunning stabilised and blue dyed Flame Maple burl and resin hybrid with incredible figure and chatoyancy. It reminds me a tiger's eye gem stone, and seems almost to have the stripes to match. Paired with cool grey liners and subtle carbon fibre pins to let the wood stand out for itself.
Since the blade is made from carbon steel it is NOT stainless and will build up a beautiful and unique patina with use. This blue, grey and black colouring will protect the blade from rust as it builds and acts as a record of all the things it has been through (literally)!
